Michael Peter

Biography

Michael Peter is the CEO of Siemens Mobility, a global leader in rail and transport solutions, where he has been shaping the future of sustainable mobility since 2017. With over three decades at Siemens, Michael has built deep expertise in rail infrastructure, intelligent traffic systems, and industrial solutions across Europe, Asia, and the U.S.

He began his career in Siemens’ Graduate Program in 1992, taking on engineering and project management roles in Germany and the U.S. Before becoming CEO, he led Siemens’ Rail Infrastructure division and held senior leadership roles including General Manager of Main Line Signalling Systems in Berlin and Madrid, Industrial Solutions ASEAN in Bangkok, and Intelligent Traffic Systems in Munich.

Under his leadership, Siemens Mobility continues to pioneer innovations in digitalization, automation, and sustainable transport, helping cities and nations meet the growing demands of mobility.
