Dr. Björn Bernhard

Biography

Dr. Björn Bernhard is CEO and Head of Division Vehicle Systems Europe at Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, a global leader in defense and mobility solutions. With nearly two decades at Rheinmetall, he has led major programs in tactical and protected vehicles, shaping Europe’s land systems capabilities.

Prior to his current role, he served as CEO of Rheinmetall’s Tactical Vehicles unit and as Managing Director of PSM Projekt System & Management GmbH, where he oversaw key armored vehicle projects.

A Ph.D. from the University of Hohenheim, Dr. Bernhard combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. A former First Lieutenant in the German Bundeswehr, he continues to drive innovation at the intersection of defense, technology, and mobility.
