Ankit Mehta

Biography

Ankit Mehta is the CEO and Co-Founder of ideaForge Technology Limited, India’s leading drone company specializing in defense and civil applications. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT Bombay, Ankit co-founded ideaForge in 2007 and has since led its rise as a global leader in dual-use drone manufacturing. Under his leadership, ideaForge was ranked 3rd globally among dual-use drone manufacturers (Drone Industry Insights, 2022) and successfully went public in 2023 with an IPO subscribed 106 times.

Ankit has received numerous accolades, including the ET 40 Under Forty, CNBC-TV18, Marico Innovation Foundation, and IIT Bombay’s Young Alumni Achiever Award. He also plays a key role in shaping India’s drone policy as Co-Chair of FICCI’s Drone Committee and is a co-inventor on multiple patents.
