Biography
Abhishek Singh is Director General of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India.
A 1995-batch IAS officer, he also leads the India AI Mission, overseeing national initiatives on artificial intelligence, digital governance, and emerging technologies. Previously, he served as CEO of Digital India Corporation, Karmayogi Bharat, MyGov, and NeGD, driving citizen engagement and large-scale digital transformation projects.
With a career spanning grassroots administration in Nagaland and Uttar Pradesh to leadership at India’s central ministries, he has managed complex programs in governance, food security, and IT modernization. A Mason Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and IIT Kanpur alumnus, Abhishek is a leading voice in digital transformation and inclusive governance.
